Lebenstedt
Most populous district in the north, on the Salzgittersee.
Anliegen
Development of the Seeviertel (family-friendly housing, social infrastructure) and local recreation around the Salzgittersee.

- Further development of the Salzgittersee – target and structure concept for leisure, sport and recreation (council resolution, ongoing)
- Urban renewal of the Seeviertel – urban development funding since 2008 (including renovation of the Seeviertel shopping centre)
- New construction of the Grundschule Nord primary school (construction start 2024, around 9 million euros)
- Hydrogen Campus Salzgitter – future location for hydrogen technology
